Why choose Omaha massage continuing
education workshops?
Ann Murley is known to her students as a consummate professional dedicated to motivating and
challenging them in ways that bring prompt, proven and permanent results. She defines her
motto of, “walking the talk,” by being an example of what she teaches.
Ann has been teaching massage therapy skills since 1991. Her students at the Omaha School of
Massage Therapy were voted “Best in Omaha” by Omaha Magazine for giving the best massages
in the Omaha area.

Is continuing education required for license renewal?
The State of Nebraska requires ongoing continuing education to maintain State licensure.
​
Massage Therapists must complete 24 hours of continuing education every 2 years. License
renewal is due 11/1 of odd numbered years. Three of the 24 hours must include Ethics.

Mandatory CE Hours:

3 Ethics Hours (can be online)

14 Hands-on Hours at workshops (cannot be online) each renewal period (1 hour of
attendance = 1 credit).-
a. The content of the hands-on hours must include at least 75% HANDS-ON technique
and may include up to 25% theory related to hands-on technique; and -
b. The agenda must reflect a set period of time for class participation (hands-on practice).

We provide easy online registration. Simply click on the “CLASSES ” tab above and select which
workshops you wish to attend and simply add them to your cart. Alternatively if you require
additional info on any of our classes and workshops send us an email or message our
Facebook page and we will reply within 24 hours. We look forward to answering all
your questions and welcoming you to our workshops.

What Continuing Education Credits are applicable?
Continuing Educations Credits are applied based on the specific time invested for the
particular class attended.

Prices for our classes depend on the hours of the specific classes.

Where are our classes held?
Omaha Massage Continuing Education Workshops utilizes a number of Omaha's most prestigious
health based venues depending on the size of our classes and the duration - ie one or two day
classes. We vary the location to accommodate attendees coming from different parts of the
city and the Midwest.

What should I wear to your workshops & classes?
We recommend that our attendees wear loose comfortable clothing such as yoga or fitness attire.

What should I bring to your workshops & classes?
Please make sure you bring your own massage table, a set of sheets, and a face cradle cover

Can I take an O.M.C.E.W. workshop and use the credits
for future renewals?
You may attend our workshops and classes at any time and will receive Continuing Education
Units based on the duration of the specific workshop. As O.M.C.E.W. welcomes attendees from
many States it is recommended that you check with your Board and State rules and regulations
as to if Continuing Education hours can be used for future renewals.

How long has Omaha Massage Continuing Education
Workshops been in business?
Ann formally studied massage therapy and received her license in 1989, and began working in
a Chiropractor’s office. Her expanding practice mushroomed into a thriving business and fueled
her desire to teach.
In 1991 she founded Omaha School Of Massage Therapy which became and remains a symbol
for personal wellness and an icon for massage training in Omaha Nebraska. Ann taught massage
skills at the School for 18 years and then founded the Omaha Massage Continuing Education
Workshops where she continues to teach a fusion of various massage techniques designed
for therapist comfort and career retention.

What is O.M.C.E.W's refund & cancellation policy?
For a refund, cancellation notice must be received 14 days prior to the workshop. Fees charged
for transactions will not be refunded. No refunds or credit will be given if cancellation is within the 14 days prior to workshop. We need a minimum number of attendees to schedule a class. If you registered and we do not receive
minimum number of registrations 14 days prior to workshop you will receive a refund minus
transaction fees of any monies paid within 7 business days.
Note - Refund policy will be deferred to any site hosting the workshop. The above refund
policy only applies to workshops Ann is personally responsible for hosting.
