Massage has previously been known to be a contraindication when working with clients who have been diagnosed with cancer.  Research has discovered this is no longer the case, in fact the opposite is true!  
After taking this class you will have a clear understanding of what this devastating disease is and will be confident in using the appropriate skills to give a client an oncology massage.
You will be taught how Oncology massage is modification of Swedish massage working with the central nervous system and making it adaptable for any immediate, short term or long term side effects of cancer treatment. 
The educational standards, indications and contraindications will be presented as to provide you with the tools to offer some time away from the clients fears enabling them to embrace their self care.
